Submariner Sleeping Pod Redesign 

Redesigned sleeping pods used by submariners to improve sleep quality and privacy on board. It is an overwhelming time for Submariners with no escape from the work environment. The concept transforms the bunk spaces into personal sleeping pods that provide greater sense of comfort and security in the submarine. The design focused on lighting, comfort, and noise reduction elements to support rest and recovery. Through research and user centred design, the project explored how improved living spaces can possibly impact mental wellbeing, performance and morale for personnel operating in high pressure environments
